EOIR Case Status

Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 15, 2025

At EOIR Case Status ("we", "our", or "this website"), the privacy of our visitors is one of our main priorities. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our free EOIR immigration court case status lookup tool, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who We Are

EOIR Case Status is an independent, privately operated website that helps people check the status of their immigration court cases in English and Spanish. We are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the U.S. Department of Justice, or any other government agency.

For the purpose of applicable data protection laws, the data controller is the operator of this website. You can reach us any time at whitesky6264@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

We designed this website to collect as little personal information as possible:

  • Case lookup data (NOT stored): When you search for a case, the A-Number and nationality you enter are transmitted through our secure server-side lookup, displayed to you, and immediately discarded. We do not store, log, or share your A-Number or search queries.
  • Contact form data: The Contact Us form does not send anything to our servers. Instead, it opens a pre-filled email in your own email app, addressed to us at whitesky6264@gmail.com. We receive only the content you choose to send and use it solely to respond to you.
  • Usage data: Like most websites, we collect basic technical information through cookies and analytics tools, such as pages visited, approximate location (country/city level), browser type, device type, and visit duration. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the case status lookup service;
  • Respond to your questions and feedback sent through the contact form;
  • Analyze overall site usage to improve content, speed, and usability;
  • Display advertising that keeps the service free of charge;
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, or fraud.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) for two purposes:

  • Essential functionality: We store a small flag in your browser's local storage so that the initial disclaimer notice is not shown again to returning visitors. This is strictly functional and contains no personal data.
  • Analytics and advertising: Third-party services described below (Google Analytics and Google AdSense) may set their own cookies to measure usage and serve ads.

5. Google AdSense & Advertising Cookies

This website is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense, a service provided by Google LLC, to display ads.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads). You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising at https://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/ (for visitors in the EU/UK).

For more information about how Google uses data from sites that use its services, please review Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

6. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use this website. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, time spent on the site, and how visitors arrived. Your IP address is anonymized whenever technically possible.

You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

7. Data Retention

Case lookup inputs (A-Number and nationality) are processed in real time and are never written to our database or logs.

Contact form messages are never stored on this website — they are sent from your own email client straight to our email inbox, where they are kept only as part of our normal email correspondence. Aggregated analytics data may be retained according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We only share data with the following categories of service providers, strictly as needed to operate this website:

  • Google LLC — analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google AdSense);
  • Our hosting and infrastructure providers — to serve the website itself.

9. Data Security

This website is served over HTTPS, and the case lookup is performed through our server-side proxy so that no third-party service is ever contacted directly by your browser. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its use, and the right to object to personalized advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at whitesky6264@gmail.com. Because we do not store A-Numbers or lookup queries, those data points cannot be linked to you and are not subject to such requests.

11. Children's Privacy

This website is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

This website links to official government resources such as justice.gov and acis.eoir.justice.gov for convenience. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external websites.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

14. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, contact us at whitesky6264@gmail.com or through our Contact Us page.
